Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were having trouble deciding on a baby name, so they turned to the press for some advice!
Life & Style has learned that the reality star and her baby daddy originally heard the name 'North' from media reports suggesting the name, but nixed it two weeks before her June 15 birth.
A source reveals, "The couple hadn't decided upon a name until a day after their daughter was born."
Kim gave birth to a healthy baby girl on June 15 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA following a difficult public pregnancy.
Although the famous duo laughed off the name at first, the source adds, "It felt right to name her North once she was born."
Another insider tells Life & Style that the name is said be more inspirational than directional — and that "Kim and Kanye believe North is their highest point together as a couple."
While on The View yesterday, Grandma Kris Jenner revealed the very same thing.
“The way [Kim] explained it to me was North means ‘highest power,’ and she says that North is [Kim and Kanye’s] highest point together,” said the momager.
