Hours before trying to kill herself with a meat cleaver and overdose yesterday, Paris Jackson posted two worrying Twitter messages.
At around midnight US time she recited the sorrowful Beatles song Yesterday to her million followers, writing: "Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away, now it looks as though they're here to stay."
And earlier she had posted: "I wonder why tears are salty."
Last night it emerged the teenager had also left a suicide note and phoned a suicide hotline, with the worried counsellor calling the police.
Paris, Michael Jackson's 15-year-old daughter, had also taken a large number of Motrin painkiller pills.
Paris was taken to hospital from her home in Calabasas, California, after emergency services got a call at 1.27am yesterday.
According to reports in the US, the caller told the operator that Paris had taken a possible overdose although sources added the teenager also had "multiple cuts on one of her wrists".
Paris's mum Debbie Rowe confirmed the suicide attempt. Debbie, 54, told Entertainment Tonight that her daughter had tried to kill herself and was being treated at an LA hospital. The mum told the US TV show her daughter had "a lot going on".

Paris had recently rekindled her relationship with her mum, who was married to Jacko from 1996 to 1999.
It had earlier emerged Paris "threw a fit" after being told she could not go to see Marilyn Manson in concert. She ran into her bedroom screaming, and slammed the door. Previously the teenager has been pictured with worrying marks on her arms.
Last night Paris was placed under a 72-hour psychiatric order.
Her uncles Jackie, Marlon and Tito issued a statement saying: "Thank you for the concern for Paris. She is doing fine. We truly appreciate you respecting our privacy at this time."
Solicitor Perry Sanders added: "Being a 15-year-old is difficult no matter who you are. It is especially difficult when you lose the person closest to you."
Jacko, who died aged 50 in 2009, had three children, Prince, Paris and Blanket. It has been reported Paris has been under strain since the start of the court case brought against the concert promoter AEG Live by Jacko's mother and children.
The family accuse AEG of being so greedy they ended up causing his death. The £31billion battle has heard a string of allegations made against the King of Pop. One was that he only fathered one of his children.
Jackson suffered a heart attack brought on by an overdose of propofol and benzodiazepine given to him by Dr Conrad Murray who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter.

It's really a shame that this story is made public!! She is 15 years old!! My God, how low will the world stoop!! Making up opinions, especially negative ones, does not help this "15 year old"!! Gossip is the devils playground!!

"The family accuse AEG of being so greedy they ended up causing his death" What the hell does that make them then, suing for that ridiculous amount. Sadly there is no hope for these 3 children with the bizarre upbringing they have had.

Also, what sort of mum walks away and lets the children be raised in such strange circumstances - oh yes thats right the same mum who hands over her children for large sums of money !
